Vote by post in Ireland for the Løgting Election

On Thursday, 26 March 2026, there will be an election to the Løgting in the Faroe Islands. Faroese voters residing in Ireland can vote at a Danish representation. Read here to find out how.

How to vote by post 

If you are residing in Ireland and meet the requirements, you can vote by post at the embassy in Dublin or at the consulate in Limerick.

Remember
to bring valid identification (passport, driving licence, etc.).

At the embassy in Dublin, you can vote by post without a prior appointment Monday to Thursday from 9:00 – 15:30 and Friday from 9:00 – 15:00.

Vote before 19 March in Dublin and before 18 March in Limerick to ensure that your vote for the Løgting Election arrives in time!

Please note that if you choose to vote by post at a later date, we cannot guarantee that your vote will arrive before 8:00 on election day, 26 March 2026.
