Danish societies in Ireland

The role of the Culture Section of the Danish Embassy is to promote Denmark and Danish outlook. This happens partly through the distribution of general information to the public and media and partly by arranging Danish cultural events with Danish participants.

The Embassy liaises between cultural and educational institutions in Denmark and Ireland. The Embassy also acts as representative office for the Danish Tourist Board which pro-actively promotes tourism to Denmark.

The Danish community in Ireland has increased significantly in recent years. The establishment of European call centres in Dublin and nationwide has attracted young Danes to Ireland. Similarly, a number of Danish companies have established subsidiaries throughout Ireland. For a list of Danish subsidiaries in Ireland, contact the commercial section of the Embassy.
